The Process

History from the Heart’s process is:

• A pre-interview ‘getting to know you’ meeting, in your home, where the interview process will be explained
and a memory triggers pack left with you.

• The interview with the narrator of the story, in your own home, which is recorded.
A photograph is also taken on this day for inclusion in the finished document.

• Transcribing the recorded interview/s.

• Writing and formatting the story to first draft stage, using your own words.

• Revision of document based on narrator’s feedback.

• Selection and scanning of photos and memorabilia.

• Formatting the text and photos together into a readable, memorable document.
