Annie started writing personal/family histories in 1988.  She is one of the first people to champion personal history on this continent, is the first Australian member of the international Association of Personal Historians, and a member of the Oral History Association of Australia (WA Branch.)  As founder of History from the Heart, Annie has helped record life stories for the past 18 years.

Her clients include individuals with stories to share from their life, families who want to preserve their ancestors’ stories, and communities or organizations that want the memory of their roots preserved.  She says: “I am passionate about helping people to collect and preserve their personal or family life stories for future generation.  I love adding the foliage, buds and flowers to family trees!”

Why is personal history so important!  Annie says, “The events in your family’s history have helped to shape both you and your family.  The stories you collect now will forever touch the hearts of your grandchildren and their children.”
