Hi I'm Annie!

Annie Payne, professional personal and family historian. My name is Annie Payne and I started History from the Heart to help people save their personal and family histories before time passes and memories fade.

There are many sites which help you with genealogy and family trees but, when you look deeper, there aren't many that help you with solid and proven advice to help you save your family stories before they are forgotten - forever.

The stories of your parents, grandparents, uncles and aunts are the buds and leaves to your family tree. Without them you have just names, places and dates on a bare tree.

I am a professional personal and family historian and I have been doing this work for over 23 years. During this time I have never met anyone who did not have a story to tell and I am yet to find anyone with a boring life story.

Professionally I am a Board Member and Regional Director of the international Association of Personal Historians. and I live in Adelaide, South Australia. This site has an Australian focus but you will find the principles apply wherever in the world you may live.

Thank you for visiting my site. If you can't find what you are looking for then please let me know -I'll be happy to help.

History from the Heart is a long established member of the International Association of Personal Historians

“I was delighted when my son commissioned Annie Payne, from History from the Heart, to interview me about my life to date.

“Just a Shovel and Spade Girl” now holds a special place within our family treasures. Thank you.”
                      Helen L, WA

Thanks, Annie, for the professional way you prepared and presented Dad’s personal history for his 90th. birthday.

He enjoyed being interviewed and recalling his WWII experiences in the RN and we are still amazed at his rescue of many survivors of the ‘Lancastria’.”

“I was very nervous about telling my stories to Annie, as requested by my daughter, but the interviews flew by and it’s now a cracking good story for my grandchildren.

“All at Sea” really tells my life in my own words for my grandchildren and their children.”
