What is a Legacy Story?
The website is called Legacy Stories because there is a difference between any story and a legacy story. A legacy story is one, for example, how you met your life partner, the birth of your children, your schooldays and the stories you know about your ancestors. These are the stories by which you want to be remembered in 50, 100 years time.

The same is true for your photos and videos. Our mission is to you sort through the mountains of photos (250 shots of the new baby lying in the crib from all different angles, for example) and take the time to select the one or ones where a story can be told, the stories that mean the most today and in the future.

You also have a direct video-record feature where, using a webcam, you can hold up special keepsakes and photos and tell the story about what makes them special. These are also called legacy stories as they tell the real story behind Dad's medals or Grandma's engagement ring.

Monthly Story Prompts
Each month you will receive a story prompt so that you get into the habit of posting at least one story/video a month. With other members of your family commenting on your story you will soon find that you stories are growing not only in number but also in quality. Story by story your legacy grows.
